Way way worse than hiking oil prices, or turning off Californinian power stations. Starbucks have raised their prices. Now generally I'm all for profits, and have toyed with the purchase of an "Adam Smith is my homeboy" t-shirt. But they raised the prices by 4p. Seriously: fopnece. WTF? Starbucks previously had pretty sensible, easily paid for with silver, prices. My grandeblackamericanowithanextrashottogo was two quid. Now it's £2.04. I'm gonna have to start picking coppers out of my change frisbee every morning. Or breaking serious money and walking with a change limp.

I'm actually quite likely to buy less coffee now, this strikes me as having had its customer needs research done in Excel.
